Michael is bang-on with this new video. Our economy is being restructured whether we like it or not. Liberal economic values suggest that we should take advantage of this shift and move our economy towards one that is green, efficient and sustainable.
In this episode I celebrate the one year anniversary of the Liberal Minute!!
I also discuss the origins of this video series as well as answering some of the common questions I’ve been asked over the past year.
Although I produce the Liberal Minute on my own this show wouldn’t be possible without the cooperation and support of so many people. I would like to thank Liberal MP Mark Holland and Edy Haddad for posting their own videos which inspired me to start making my own.
I want to thank everyone in the Liberal Party of Canada for their support and for allowing me to attend so many of their events. I also want to thank all of the great Liberal MPs who have appeared on the Liberal Minute. Your generosity and openness has taken this show to new heights and it never would have been possible without you.
I also want to thank the National director of the Liberal Party Rocco Rossi for being so receptive to new ideas and for being the most optimistic and encouraging Liberal I’ve ever met!
I also want to thank all of the Vancouver based Liberals for taking me under their wing. The same goes for the Ontario and Quebec Liberals and everyone else I’ve met during the past year. You’re all amazing people and keep up the great work.
And last but not least I want to thank the Young Liberals of Canada and especially the YLCers based in BC. You guys have taught me so much over the years and I’m not sure if you know how much that means to me but it’s a lot! I consider so many of you my friends now and it’s just nice to know you have so many cool people in your life ; )
Moving forward I’m just going to keep focusing on the Liberal Minute and I’ll keep finding new ways of making it bigger and better! There’s so much work that needs to be done in order to take Canada to the next level. My dream is that the Liberal Minute show will somehow play a small role in that quest by talking to thousands of Canadians regardless of their political beliefs.
In this episode Michael Ignatieff delivers an inspiring 2009 pre-election speech in Surrey, B.C. Ignatieff focuses on some of Harper’s greatest failures in areas of the economy, environment, seniors, Canadians abroad, education, as well as his hyper-partisanship and inability to dream big about Canada’s future.
Ignatieff wants to start planning for the year 2017 now because that marks Canada’s 150th anniversary and we need to ensure that celebration breaks new ground in all respects.
In this episode I talk about the upcoming 2009 federal election. I support the Liberal Party of Canada for refusing to support a Conservative government which is failing so many Canadians in so many ways.
We need Michael Ignatieff to be our next Prime Minister so that someone responsibly tackles our greatest challenges like the billions of dollars of Conservative debt, EI reform, the isotope crisis, InSite, saving the CBC, standing up for our public health care system, investing equally in infrastructure regardless of which party your MP belongs to, engaging the world in free-er trade, and elevating our country to a higher status, etc…
